The Associated International Laboratory (LIA) "Physics of nanostructures and innovative devices based on compound semiconductors" (PHYNICS) was officially established in May 2019 at the occasion of a visit of Antoine Petit, Chairman and CEO of CNRS, in Russia where he met Vladislav Pantchenko, CEO of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR).
The LIA PHYNICS is a renewal of the Associated International Laboratory "Nanostructures of Compound Semiconductors - Growth, properties, devices" (ILNACS) created in 2010 to strengthen and develop the scientific collaboration between CNRS laboratories and Russian partners (especially in Saint-Petersburg) in the field of the physics and applications of nanostructures of compound semiconductors.
