Pascale Senellart nominated as permanent member of the "Presidential Council for Science".

On Thursday 7 December 2023, the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, announced the creation of a "Presidential Science Council" made up of twelve scientists. Among them is Pascale Senellart, CNRS Research Director at C2N, CNRS silver medallist in 2014, winner of the Grand Prix Mergier Bourdeix from the Académie des Sciences in 2021, elected to the Académie des Sciences and appointed Officier de l'Ordre National du Mérite in 2022.

Her research focuses on optical components for quantum information processing, at the interface between solid state physics, quantum optics and nanotechnologies. Pascale Senellart is also co-founder and scientific advisor to the start-up Quandela.

This council, made up of around ten members, will aim to support the Head of State on scientific issues and innovation.
