CIMPHONIE
Integrated Magneto- Photonic and Plasmonic Devices

CIMPHONIE research focuses on development of integrated devices in visible and IR domains, using light-matter interaction such as magneto-optical-plasmonic effects for non-reciprocal transmission and localized surface plasmons for bio-sensor, plasmonic-tweezers, integrated nanoantenna and holographic display.

Photonic Crystals and Metamaterials

Crime research activities deal with study and engineering of electromagnetic waves propagation in metamaterials and related sub-wavelength structured artificial media and their application to innovative concepts of devices in the microwave, THz and optical domains.

GOSS
Quantum Optics in the Solid State

The Group “quantum Optics in the Solid State” carries out a wide spectrum of researches based on nanostructured semiconductor systems, including polariton quantum fluids in lattices, nanophononics, single photon sources, spin-photon interfaces, as well as 3D hybrid photonics on silicon.

Silicon-based Micro- and Nano- Photonic Devices

Silicon photonics for applications in communications, sensing and quantum optics. Main research lines: optoelectronic and nonlinear devices in the near- and mid-infrared, hybrid integration, optics and optomechanics sub-wavelength nanostructuration.

ODIN
Optoelectronic Devices and Innovation

The research focuses on the physics, technology and applications of novel optoelectronic semiconductor quantum devices covering a large spectral range from UV to THz: mid-IR and THz devices (quantum cascade lasers and detectors, polaritonic devices); integrated light sources; nanowires for photovoltaic applications, flexible light-emitting diodes and piezo-generators.

QD
Quantum Dot & Photonic Nanostructures

The QD group exploits light and electronic strong confinement in semiconductor nanostructures, based on silicon-germanium-tin/diamond/II-VI/III-nitride planar nanotechnologies, to envision the next generation of advanced silicon light emitters and high speed low energy nanophotonics components operating from the ultraviolet to the far infrared spectral regions.

ToniQ
Non-linear Nanophotonics and Quantum Information

ToniQ group focuses on nonlinear and quantum optics, optomechanics, neuromimetic photonics and hybrid III-V and III-V/Si nanotechnologies adressing such phenomena with coupled and active semiconductor photonic crystals, micropillars, micro- nanocavities and coupled waveguides.

ExpeRFO Pole
RF and Optics Experimentations

The ExpeRFO pole of expertise gathers engineering skills and equipment in the field of microwave or optical HF signals. It hosts the DESCARTES optoelectronic platform developing demonstrators around devices including from external partners for future optical communications networks.
