[Olivier Hamant Seminar] How can robustness, rather than performance, be integrated into research practices and organization?

On June 19, C2N will welcome Olivier Hamant, a researcher at INRAE, based at the École normale supérieure de Lyon and Director of the Michel Serres Institute.

Olivier Hamant is one of the leading experts on the concept of biological robustness — the ability of living systems to maintain their stability despite environmental fluctuations. His work is part of a broader reflection on a societal model inspired by living systems, one that prioritizes robustness over performance.

How can a logic of robustness, rather than performance, be integrated into research practices and organization? This seminar will offer some answers and may even challenge the very way we conceive of research itself.
