Jacqueline Bloch, CNRS research director at C2N, CNRS silver medal, elected member of the Académie des sciences, physics section

Jacqueline Bloch is an experimental physicist and expert in quantum and nonlinear optics. She is interested in the coupling between light and matter in connection with semiconductor nanotechnologies. By probing the properties of light in optical cavity arrays, Jacqueline Bloch and her team explore a wide variety of physical phenomena: superfluidity, topology, black holes or non-equilibrium phase transitions.1
