Pascale Senellart-Mardon, CNRS Research Director at C2N, laureate of the Grand Prix Mergier-Bourdeix of the Académie des Sciences

Congratulations to Pascale Senellart-Mardon, CNRS Research Director at C2N, laureate of the Grand Prix Mergier-Bourdeix of the Académie des Sciences.

The Academy paid tribute to her at the prize-giving ceremony under the dome of the Institut de France on 23 November 2021.

His research lies at the frontier between nanotechnology, atomic physics and quantum optics. She is interested in the interaction between light and semiconductor nano-objects that behave like individual atoms. In doing so, her team is developing components to generate and manipulate light photon by photon, thus opening up numerous perspectives for quantum information processing1.
