Joo-Von Kim, CNRS Research Director at C2N, has been named a 2027–2028 Distinguished Lecturer by a committee of the IEEE Magnetics Society. A theoretical and computational physicist, Joo-Von Kim specializes in nanomagnetism and spintronics. The CNRS has just announced the awarding of its 2026 Gold Medal to Jacqueline Bloch, CNRS research director at C2N.

Jacqueline Bloch is an internationally recognized specialist in light-matter interaction. With her team, she explores the physics of polaritons, quantum fluids of light manipulated in semiconductor microcavities, to probe phenomena as varied as superfluidity, topology, and non-equilibrium phase transitions.
