Nanophotonics : Solutions for improved and compact visualization systems

Nanophotonics has a role to play in compacting, lightening and improving optical systems for mobility applications. Thanks to its modular nature and its compatibility with planar technologies it offers solutions not accessible to refractive optics. In return, new scientific and technological problems are posed to it, of which we present here some examples: plasmonic functionalisation of transparent screens, planar coherent emitter vectored by plasmons, matrix addressing of submicron pixels.
