Pascale Senellart awarded the Prix Jean Ricard 2023 by the SFP Pascale Senellart laureate of the 2023 Jean Ricard Prize of the SFP and member of the Presidential Council for Science

Congratulations to our colleague Pascale Senellart, CNRS Research Director at C2N, laureate of the Prix Jean Ricard 2023 of the Société Française d'Optique - SFP.

This prestigious prize is designed to reward and encourage a French scientist for his or her outstanding and original work in the field of the physical sciences, whether on a theoretical or experimental level.

Her research focuses on optical components for quantum information processing, at the interface between solid state physics, quantum optics and nanotechnologies. Pascale Senellart is also co-founder and scientific advisor of the start-up Quandela.

Permanent member of the Presidential Science Council

On Thursday 7 December 2023, French President Emmanuel Macron announced the creation of the "Presidential Science Council", made up of twelve scientists. Among them is Pascale Senellart, CNRS Research Director at C2N.

This council, made up of around ten members, will aim to support the Head of State on scientific issues and innovation.

Pascale Senellart is a 2014 CNRS silver medallist, winner of the Grand Prix Mergier Bourdeix from the Académie des Sciences in 2021, elected to the Académie des Sciences and appointed Officier de l'Ordre National du Mérite in 2022.
