C2N is very proud to see two start-ups emerging from research developed within its scientific and technological environment of excellence featured in this ranking :
➤ LumiSync, which has developed the world’s first 100% photonic on-chip oscillator, enabling data synchronization at the speed of light. This technology unlocks the full potential of next-generation AI, high-performance computing (HPC), and optical computing, as well as new applications in telecommunications and aerospace.
➤ Quandela, a pioneer in the development of photonic quantum computers. In 2024, C2N and the start-up established a joint laboratory (LabCom QDLight) to strengthen the synergy between academic and applied research. The LabCom aims to continue research on new technologies that can be directly applied to Quandela’s quantum computers.
