The CNRS has just announced the awarding of its 2026 Gold Medal to Jacqueline Bloch, CNRS research director at C2N.

Jacqueline Bloch is an internationally recognized specialist in light-matter interaction. With her team, she explores the physics of polaritons, quantum fluids of light manipulated in semiconductor microcavities, to probe phenomena as varied as superfluidity, topology, and non-equilibrium phase transitions.
